Receiving hopper rental
A receiving hopper is used when a product is supplied low. From this low point, it can be transported up with a conveyor belt, dual belt or storage loader. Conveyor belts can also cross the first distance to the deposit point, before the product is transported to the place where it is stored or will be further processed.
The supply can take place by different means of transport like a tipping truck or a truck with a walking floor. When the load is deposited to the ground and and then transported to the receiving hopper using a shovel or forklift, using a tipping truck is most efficient. The product will be further transported on the cross conveyor. The roll-in width is widely sufficient for all types of tipping trucks and is about 320 centimeters. The capacity is 1 to 120 tons an hour.
Renting a receiving hopper for your harvest
Van Trier Tholen rents out all types of receiving hoppers with cleaners. These receiving hoppers are used for harvesting potatoes, onions, carrots and celeriac. Potatoes and onions for example, can be loaded in the receiving hopper using a tipping truck. The bottom consists of a wide conveyor belt with adjustable speed for a metered release of the product. The receiving hoppers with cleaners make sure the harvested product is treated carefully and efficiently. Combine a receiving hopper with cleaners with a conveyor belt and you can transport your harvested products directly into the trucks! It is also possible to connect a pre-sorter or a stone remover, for example. Our receiving hoppers are 250 centimeters wide and have a varying content of 9 to 18 m³. Seven or eight cleaning rolls will open and close hydraulically and have an elliptical roll cleaner. The capacity control ensures optimum delivery. We rent out our receiving hoppers wit cleaners both with and without pre-sorting units.
