Buying a ship loader at Van Trier
With a ship loader from Van Trier you can easily load and unload bulk ships from the quay. A ship loader can also be used to load barges, ships and push barges. By means of an extendable ship loader, the conveyor belt can tilt from the quay so that the bulk ship can be loaded. We offer different types of ship loaders for rent.
What can a mobile ship loader be used for?
A ship loader can be used to load a bulk ship with dry bulk goods. It can also be used to load and store barges and barges. Mobile ship loaders are ideally suited for transferring large volumes of bulk goods to barges and remote bulk carriers. The extendable conveyor belt (also called a telescopic belt) allows the loader to remain at a good distance from the ship while transporting goods at a high capacity. The belts have a capacity of up to 1,500 tons per hour. Our mobile ship loaders can be deployed at any desired location.
How does a ship loader work?
A ship loader is made up of the following components: a receiving hopper, an extraction belt, a telescopic belt and a power unit. A shovel is used to dump the product into the receiving hopper. The pull-out conveyor ensures that the product is dosed to the telescoping conveyor. The telescopic belt ensures that the product is deposited at the desired height. Incidentally, this height can be adjusted as desired. The machine is driven by the power unit, so it can be used anywhere.
