Van Trier is a centuries-old family business that had its origins in 1746, when the forge was started in De Heen. Since then, the company has developed into a leading player in the sale and rental of machines. With more than 500 machines in stock and a very extensive machine park, Van Trier offers a total solution for various industries.

In 1948, Johannes van Trier started designing the TZK, a self-propelled motor weeder that turned out to be a great success. This innovative spirit continues to live on in the company.

In 1996, Van Trier received special recognition. Her Majesty the Queen granted the company the right to use the Royal Coat of Arms, as well as the title ‘By Royal Decree, Purveyor to the Court’, due to the company’s long history and merits.
With the growth of the company, it was decided in 2010 to move to a new location in Tholen. The old location in De Heen became too small for Van Trier’s ambitious plans. The new location has room for a showroom and a storage shed, allowing the company to better meet the needs of customers.
